Your Hosts: Dan and Jenny Gehman
Dan & Jenny Gehman have been married for 34 years.
Dan has served with Eastern Mennonite Missions, Millersville International House (now Immerse) and Landis Homes Retirement Community. His happy place is in his reading (ie - napping) chair and his great love is being of service to others.
Jenny has worked as a music therapist, private flute teacher, retreat speaker, mentor, and free-lance writer. She is currently training to be a spiritual director. Jenny’s happy place is in a hammock and her great love is encouraging others through words.
Dan & Jenny have a shared love of and commitment to the practice of hospitality. In fact, in their 34 years of marriage they’ve only lived alone as a nuclear family for a handful of months.
Room to Share
We have 2 overnight guest rooms and one day-retreat room to share in our air-conditioned home in Millersville, PA.
A small refrigerator and microwave are available for your use.
All rooms are offered on a donation-basis.
Our Day-Retreat Room is available M-Th, 9:00AM-4:00PM for a suggested donation of $20/day.
Our Guest Rooms are available for use as needed for up to 6-months for a suggested donation of
$35/night, $175/week, or $600/month.
Gerhardt Guest Room
The Gerhardt Guest Room is named after Jenny’s 10th Great-Grandfather, Paul Gerhardt. This well-loved man lived in the 1600’s and served as a Lutheran Pastor and Hymn writer in Germany. His deep suffering wrought fruit that comforted many.
The Gerhardt Guest Room is located on the 2nd floor with a shared bath on the 1st floor. It has a double bed, 2 comfortable chairs, and a dresser/desk. On a breezy day you’ll hear the wind chimes that grace our front porch.

Alexander Guest Room
The Alexander Guest Room is named for Jenny’s Great-Grandmother, Fanny Alexander. Fanny was a missionary in Japan for most of her life. An advocate for both education and women, Fanny is noted for bringing Mother’s Day to Japan.
The Alexander Guest Room is located on the 2nd floor with a shared bath on the 1st floor. It contains a double bed, comfy chair, a desk and dresser. The window looks out on our beautiful maple tree.

Veriditas Retreat Room
The Veriditas Day-Retreat Room derives its name from Hildegard of Bingen. Veriditas refers to the greening of our souls. It is a word meaning vitality, lushness, verdure, or growth. It is our hope and prayer this will be the fruit of your time spent here.
The Veriditas Day-Retreat Room is located on the 2nd floor with a shared bath on the 1st floor. It contains a leather couch, comfortable chair, window seat, desk and hammock (yes, a hammock!!).
